Weft to My Own Devices

Clip in hair extensions are called wefts.

Just getting that out of the way.

Here is a bag of hair with only one weft, I mean left. Actually I mean both because one weft is left.

I bought this bag o' hair because sometimes my hair looks ok short (as in photo below, taken Saturday night. That's me on the left). But...it's too layered and too short and not growing fast enough. That's why I coiffed up $84 for said bag o' hair, which I have not yet worn.

I've haven't worn it because I found out that wefts of long, straight hair look sadly mullet-like with short, layered hair.

The only thing weft to do was bring the hair into work and drape it on anything resembling an animate object:

  1. Hi Wendy,
I know hair, having gone to various Beauty Parlors over the course of 55 years.
I personally think that your hair looks beautiful and you looked beautiful as well in that photo.
The Wafts or whatever they are called, look better on the stuffed dog.
Sell them on e-bay or whatever. We all think of different thingsto do with our hair and never seem happy with the way it is. Ask any woman and she will confirm this.
Your hair the way it is suits you, you could go with just a bit more length perhaps, but the basic style is good and seems easy to manage.
Stick with the same hairdresser and you will get satisfactory results.
Everytime I change salons, it takea while before they get to know your hair.
That is the end of my discourse on hair, we could collaborate and write a magazine article on it, the women would love it, believe me!
    Can't wait to see you,
    Lots of love,
    Mom

  2. OK, so I am finally trying out the comments.

Your wefts disclosure had me and Erick laughing pretty hard..especially when you re-defined the "my pretty little pony" bit.

I love your sense of humor.

  3. Wens, Wens, Wens....You told me about the 'wefts' of hair, but until I saw your pictures I couldn't truly appreciate it! I love that Robert is in the inanimate object classification, as he is wearing the weft of hair under that heading.

    You're the best :)
